ISCHEMIA
Lacking normal blood supply to a body part. Ischemia can lead to tissue death (necrosis), if the lack of blood supply is long enough.
ISCHEMIC
Anything related to lack of normal blood supply to tissue.
ISOECHOIC
Same brightness as normal tissue in the nearby area. For example, isoechoic mass in the kidney means a mass with same brightness as the kidney tissue.
JUXTAPOSED
Situated between two things. For example, juxtaposed between kidney and liver means located between kidney and liver.
LYMPH NODE
Lymph nodes are like “check points” or filtering stations of our immune system. This is where our immune cells try to fight any foreign objects in our body, such as infection, cancer, etc.
LYMPHADENOPATHY
Enlarged lymph node. This can be caused by cancer, infection, or other “stressful” situations in our body.
METASTASIS
Spread of cancer to one part of the body to another.
METASTATIC
Cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
MORPHOLOGY
The appearance of a finding.
MYOCARDIAL
Anything related to heart.
