High or increased blood flow. Can be seen with multiple conditions including infection, inflammation, cancer, etc.

HYPERINTENSE

An MRI term used to describe organ tissue that is bright.  Often the term is followed by the sequence used.  For example, your report may state “hyperintense T2 signal” which means that the tissue looks bright on T2 sequences.
