Often used on radiology reports.  Basically means negative or normal.

WHITE MATTER DISEASE

Refers to abnormal white matter.   The white matter is the nerve fibers in the brain that carry information in the form of electrical current.  Commonly “mini-strokes” or “TIAs” affect the white matter.  Other diseases such as infection, inflammation, or tumor, can affect the white matter.

Inflammation of blood vessels to organs. Commonly affected organs include kidneys and lungs.
