CAVERNOUS HEMANGIOMA

Also called a cavernous angioma or cavernoma.  It is a type of vascular anomaly or “malformation”.  They can vary in size and cause problems related to bleeding or mass effect.

CAVUM SEPTUM PELLUCIDUM

A normal anatomy variation where the septum pellucidum is split in two, forming what looks like a small “cave”.  It is of no medical consequence.

A bleed of the head usually occurring on the scalp.

CEREBELLOPONTINE ANGLE (CPA)

A fluid space in the brain next to the cerebellum and brain stem where disease can occur.  Most commonly cysts, epidermoids, acoustic tumors, and meningiomas can occur in this space.

CEREBELLUM

The part of the brain towards the back of your head that helps with balance and coordination.
