TECTORAL
Referring to a process related to the tectum. The tectum is a part of the normal brain anatomy.
TECTUM
Normal anatomy of the brain. The radiologist may refer to this when describing an abnormality.
TENTORIUM
Normal anatomy. A landmark that separates the top from the bottom of the brain.
TENTORIUM CEREBELLI
Normal anatomy. A landmark that separates the top from the bottom of the brain.
TRANSTENTORIAL
Through the tentorium. Sometimes a mass or blood can push parts of the brain through the tentorium.
TRIGEMINAL NERVE
Also called the fifth nerve.
TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA
Disease associated with an abnormality of the fifth cranial nerve. Symptoms can vary but often include numbness of the mouth or face.
VACUO
A Latin term meaning vacuum or empty. When the brain is injured or has a stoke it could shrink causing an empty space.
VACUOLAR
Of or referring to a vacuum or “hole” in the brain.
VASCULAR
Relating to the blood vessels.
