CONDYLE

Rounded edge at the end of a long bone.

CONTUSION

A “bruise” of a body part caused by trauma.

CYST

Fluid/water sac. Simple cyst means sac containing only fluid. Simple cyst is almost always benign. Complex cyst means there is something other than fluid/water and may/may not be related to cancer. Complex cyst can be followed to make sure it does not become cancer.

DEGENERATIVE

“Wear and tear” of our body. Also known as arthritis.

DENS

The portion of the spinal column that looks like a “tooth”.  It is part of the 2nd cervical segment or “C2”.

Anything related to diaphysis (middle part of a long bone).

Separation of something.

DISC SPACE

Space between two spine bones, where disc is located.

Misplaced bone.
