PATHOLOGIC FRACTURE

Broken bone secondary to pre-existing bony abnormality.

Around the edge of the bone.

PERMEATIVE

Bone destruction with “moth-eaten” appearance.  Usually a sign of serious underlying bony abnormality such as cancer or bad infection.
