JOINT
A connection between bone. Always contains a synovium, or a lubricant liquid to prevent the bones from touching each other. Arthritis can affect the joint as well as a variety of other conditions.

Fluid within a joint.
JUGULO-DIGASTRIC NODE
A lymph node near the jugular vein and digastric muscle of the neck.
JUXTAARTICULAR
"Around " a joint.
JUXTAPOSED
Situated between two things. For example, juxtaposed between kidney and liver means located between kidney and liver.
JUXTAPOSED (bone)
Situated between two things. For example, juxtaposed between two bone parts means located between those two bone parts.
KAWASAKI’S DISEASE
Inflammation of medium-sized blood vessels in our body. Often seen in children.
KERLEY B LINE
Small horizontal white lines seen at the outer edges of the lungs. These can be seen on a chest x-ray in a patient with pulmonary edema.
KYPHOSIS
Refers to the normal curvature of the thoracic spine. Mutiple thoracic vertebral fractures can alter the kyphosis and cause you to look like you are hunched over.
