INFILTRATE
A white spot seen on a chest x-ray. This may represent an area of infection, compressed lung (atelectasis) or inflammation. Also known as "opacity" or "density".

INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE
Inflammation of bowel. Usually includes Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
INFRASPINATUS
Muscle and tendon that are found in the back of the shoulder area.

A space located below the tentorium. This space is occupied by the cerebellum and brain stem.
INFUNDIBULUM
Usually refers to the pituitary “stalk”, a short toothpick shaped structure that connects the pituitary gland to the brain.
INGUINAL
Located in your groin area.
INGUINAL HERNIA
Bulge in your groin area. Can contain fat, blood vessels, and sometimes intestine.
INSULA
Normal anatomy of the brain.
INSULAR
Of or referring to the insula. The insula is part of the normal anatomy of the brain.
