EPIDIDYMAL CYST
Sac of fluid/water located within epididymus. Benign condition.
EPIDIDYMIS
Sac of tubes located next to the testicle. They carry sperms from the testicle.
EPIDIDYMITIS
Inflammation/infection of epididymis.
EPIDURAL
A space in the brain located above the dura but under the skull. This can be a location for blood to collect after injury. A few tumors can also be located here.
EPIGLOTTIS
A small tissue flap that closes when you swallow so food or drink doesn't spill into your windpipe or trachea.
EPIGLOTTITIS
An infection or inflammation of the epiglottis. Can be serious as the epiglottis can swell and block airflow into the lungs.
EPIPHYSEAL
Anything related to growth plate.
EPIPHYSIS
Growth plate at the end of bones, found in children.
EROSION
Bone defect not related to trauma. Usually looks like rat bites. Typically seen with osteomyelitis (bone infection), inflammatory arthritis (i.e. Rheumatoid arthritis), and erosive arthritis.
EROSIVE OSTEOARTHRITIS
Particular type of arthritis that causes "sea-gull" appearance of the joints at the end of the fingers and toes from central erosions (bony defect in the center of the joint).
